Ranks

Your rank is a badge of experience in CyberTankz. Every battle you fight earns experience points, and once you reach a threshold you are promoted to the next rank. Ranks unlock access to more powerful turrets, hulls and upgrades, and they show other tankers how seasoned you are. There are 30 ranks in total, climbing from the humble Recruit all the way to the legendary Generalissimo.

How experience works

You gain experience for almost everything you do in a battle:

  • Destroying enemies — the bigger the kill, the more experience you earn.
  • Assisting — damaging an enemy that a teammate finishes off.
  • Objectives — capturing flags, holding control points and defending the Juggernaut.
  • Daily missions — bonus experience and crystals for completing rotating tasks.

Experience is permanent — you never lose it, so every battle moves you forward. Crystals (the in-game currency used to buy and upgrade equipment) are earned separately and are not the same as experience.

Promotion rewards

Every promotion grants a crystal bonus — the higher the rank, the larger the reward — so reaching a new rank gives you an immediate boost toward your next upgrade. Higher ranks also unlock the ability to purchase and fully upgrade the strongest turrets and hulls, and they are required to join certain ranked battles and tournaments.
